With the A8X ADAM Audio proudly presents the biggest monitor of the new AX-Series. Due to its power and radiation characteristics, it is perfectly suited for both nearfield and midfield monitoring. Using the same technologies and materials, the sound characteristics are very similar to it‘s smaller brother, the A7X . The main difference to the A7X results from the combination of a larger woofer, a larger cabinet as well as larger bass reflex tubes, and more powerful amplifiers (50W A/B amplifier for the tweeter, 150W PWM amplifier for the woofer). The A8X is capable of an 120dB maximum peak SPL per pair and a frequency response down to 38Hz. The front of the A8X features dual bass reflex ports as well as power and gain controls. The rear panel includes balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) jacks, a tweeter gain, and two shelve filters, one for the frequencies above 5kHz and one for the frequencies below 300Hz.
